Born and raised in Glasgow, Ema spent ten years living in Russia and that’s where she discovered the magic of yoga with her teacher Oleg Gladkih.
Ema is passionate about the practice of yoga as a way to find harmony in our daily lives through building strength, connecting with the body and the breath, and knowing our own minds. Her teaching is informed by her practice of traditional mysore-style Ashtanga yoga and other vinyasa styles, Zen mindfulness, and her ongoing study of Yoga and Buddhist philosophy, as well as physical and subtle anatomy.
Ema’s classes are strong, intelligent, and fun, encouraging practitioners to find their strength and their edge in an encouraging environment.
Originally trained in languages and filmmaking, apart from doing yoga Ema spends her time cooking fancy vegan meals, playing in the park with her pup, and making photos and videos.
