You can’t deny Reality with false binaries

Words, classifications, legislation - these are abstract forms. Necessarily they will never fully reflect the living variability and diversity that nature and Reality display. 

Perhaps because they are so imprecise, they are often used to exact harm, to classify things out of existence. But that doesn't stop them existing. 

Trans folk, trans+ folk, intersex people, non-binary people, genderqueer folk - they all exist, and have always existed in humanity. And nature is full of sexual dimorphism and gender fluidity. Clownfish change from male to female. Bearded dragons change sex in the egg. Male seahorses incubate the eggs and give birth. Sometimes cis female athletes have naturally arising higher testosterone levels than their male counterparts. Just as an example! 

When we use arbitrary and factually incorrect terms to classify the world, we're doing it to protect our limited perception of things, to create a false sense of order, and ultimately to protect our own sense of precariousness.
